Dr. Nick Peres
Dr. Nick Peres is Professor of Creative Health at Falmouth University's Centre of Blended Realities and serves as Director of Digital Innovation and Transformation at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. With over 15 years' experience in NHS digital transformation and a background in broadcast media, Nick has pioneered the use of virtual reality for healthcare training and patient empathy development. He is the founder of PatientVR, an innovative project featured on BBC, ITV, and WIRED Magazine.
Through his dual roles at Falmouth University and the NHS, Nick maintains an active practice bridging research inquiry with the realities of healthcare delivery. His work challenges conventional approaches to technology adoption by foregrounding human experience and collaborative creation.
